Dream BIG and set GOALS

Hey! What are your wildest dreams?

What is something you have always wanted to be?

As a little girl, I always knew I wanted to help people because I always gave such good advice. When I came to college, I thought I wanted to be a child psychologist; but I had a calling in another profession.

Currently, I am a Social Work major. I want to inspire young teen girls of the adolescent age that derive from low poverty areas. I also want to specialize with helping young girls who are single pregnant mothers as well. In high school, I lost so many good friends because they had chosen a different path, and became young mothers (nothing wrong with that). But it definitely put a hold on our friendship because when I would come home during school breaks I would tell them about school, and they would tell me about the hardships of being a teenage parent. As a good friend I would always support and help, but it made me gain interest in why the pregnancy rate is so high within the African American community.

I share all of  this to say, I am turning my natural gift into a career. Isn’t that what life should be about? Doing what you absolutely love and getting paid for it?

So, set out goals for yourself and follow through with them. No matter how many loops, twists, and turns life may take, you get it done! It could be something as simple as saving up to get those fabulous heels you want. Write out a plan! What can you do to ensure you get them? Make a deadline for yourself! No dream is too little, or too small! Share your dreams with those who want to see you succeed and evolve in life! Once you reach your goal, I promise you will feel so accomplished. As you tackle on your goals, set the bar higher for yourself, and watch how you can achieve anything. Never let anyone tell you that the sky is the limit, when there are footprints on the moon!

Sisterly,

Sasha
